Can't turn off "Display present location"

Hi,

I'm new to this software, but have created a "private" spunch event to practice navigation. I created the kmz and kml files, uploaded them to this site to get a code to use in the app. https://console.maprun.net/#/check_sites_create

It downloads the map and control points, but I would like to do the navigation without my location and track showing on the map. The check sites page has a setting to toggle  "By default DISPLAY location and track", but says this can be changed in the MapRun app settings.

I've found the "display track" and "display present location" settings in the app, but switching them off doesn't hide the track or location. Re-saving the map in check_sites with the above toggle reversed doesn't fix the problem either.



Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug? Public spunch events seem to work as expected, with current location not shown on the map.

MapRun 7.6.0, Android 15.
This behaviour is reproducible using two different anroid phones.

Hi,

Just checking that this is not simply this:
- in either case, until you punch start, your location and track will be displayed
- this is to help ensure you have a GPS fix, and to show your location relative to the start.

If this is not the problem, please email the CheckSites code to [e-mail]
