Can you use MapRun on an iPad?

I keep meaning to ask this question as schools always want to know - yes I agree it's not very practical to run with one, but maybe for walking round a school playground....?

MapRunF will run on an iPad.
However not all iPads have built-in GPS chips.
Check the model you are proposing to use, but in general the "Wifi+Cellular" models have GPS.
The "wifi-only" models will still try to determine your location, but only from Wifi, and this is not precise enough for GPS-based orienteering.

I'd be interested in feedback from anyone using an iPad.
