Checksites map display problem

GregB
I have set up a Checksites to help with doing some checking of control sites for an event I'm planning. I supplied a KMZ file output from OCAD but not a KML file. When I input the checksites code on my phone, it downloads, shows the satellite background of the right area, but no orienteering map. However, I have asked a couple of other people to try the same on their phones and the map is displayed fine. I've set up plenty of other checksites in the past without issue, so no idea what could cause this. Anyone have any ideas?

Greg,

Your most recent CheckSites displays OK for me (as you say it does for others).

Maybe it's one of those mobile phone gremlins fixed by a restart of the phone, reinstall of the App, check you have free memory etc.

Within the MapRun App (I assume you are on the latest version), you could switch the "Map engine" from Google to Flutter and see if that fixes it.

Please email some more details (phone, OS version) to support@maprun.net

Thanks Peter. I have just worked it out finally. I have found there is a setting called 'Compress large map files (KMZ)' which was de-selected on my phone. I have now switched this on and it works perfectly!
