I had cause to use HITMO today, possibly the first time on this phone (Galaxy A10 with Android 10). I couldnt see all the details of the missing controls. I expected to be able to swipe things sideways but that didn't work. I found a setting for the display: auto vs full-screen but that didnt change things. I found a setting for screen text and was able to see everything if I made the text small enough. But er my eyes werent built yesterday and I'd prefer not to do that. I'm thinking there may be an Android setting that someone can tell me about:-))
Michael,
I regularly run MapRunF on old Huawei devices with a screen resolution of 720x 1280.
The HITMO screen layout is fine on the Huawei's.
I believe the Galaxy A10 has a screen size of 720 x 1520 ... so very comparable.
Would it be that you have zoomed/enlarged the font size on your device? The text in your screen-print takes up a lot more screen size than it does on the Huawei.
I don't think I'd be able to fit the HITMO layout on a screen where it looks like the effective width of the screen in characters is about 40 - determined by counting the characters in the text in your screen print: "Score: 610 (Gross) -50 (Net) [Select Ctl".
I suspect other screens MapRun would also look pretty ordinary at that scale too??
I cant recall enlarging the font size since getting this phone so it may be the setting it came with. However my memory is probably degrading along with eyes so cant be sure.
There is an 8-point scale and it is on #5, ie only just on the big side of half-way. If this is normal there may be other users who meet this problem (speak up, anyone!) However I appreciate the constraints of designing output layouts for small screens.
I have tried the smallest font and it looks similar to your example - certainly enough to make selections with. But even at this font setting I dont get everything. The left-most character is the "S" of the word Score, and on my screen it is hard up against the LH side of the screen. OK thats subjective, but the line [Select...... has a closing bracket on your example, whereas on mine that is missing.
Lots to fit on the screen - I'll review the layout options in future versions.
It would help if you could send me an image of the best layout you can achieve. (You could email it to the support email address given on the website).
Thanks
Peter
