Error Uploading to Checksite

Nate runs
When I try and upload a KMZ and KML file to the "setup checksites page" it returns with this error:

Error: Error in the file content - Error in the KMZ file format - (Exception: Tiles in the KMZ files need to be named as a grid of files/tile_x_y.jpg - Instead found: files/Map.jpg)

I used google earth to geolocate the map.jpg file. That KMZ file worked great for the create KML course website.

Nate,

The issue is pretty much exactly what the error message says.
MapRun expects tiles in the KMZ file to be for the format tile_0_0.jpg (as otherwise produced by OCAD).
You can use the tool at: https://console.maprun.net/#/kmz_create to geo-ref you Map.jpg and it will give you a compatible KMZ file.

I fixed the issue by editing the KMZ file so I don't need any further help for this issue.

I had some problems with that KMZ create website as well. First off my map was rotated by a non 90 degree angle. And also when I rotated the map it worked until I tried to run the course and it gave me an error saying the lattitue wasn't between -180 and 180.

Nate,

Good to hear.

On the KMZ Create function in the Console. There is a bug that under some circumstances (of image rotation and pin placement), it generates latitudes that is out of bounds.

Normally trying different pin locations fixes it.

I have it on my list to correct.
