Could the app work on Forerunner® 45?
It is ideal for junior runners as an entry level watch.

You cannot install Connect IQ apps on the 45 so you cannot run MapRunG on if.  You can checkout the “Compatible Devices” section on the app download page https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/05fa6a5e-e9e6-4865-8b3b-0b8a3c64eeba
