Hi, I am trying to set up my forerunner 55 to maprun G and have encountered a problem.
In the 'options and settings' tab I have logged in to garmin and entered my phones unique number as requested.
But then when I try to return to the home screen in the hope of seeing the 'go to start' button transformed into a 'send to watch' button all I get is an error message 'Watch Mode Error'-( ensure that 1 logged onto garmin connect and 2 entered the number of the watch). Both of which I think I have done.
The only way back to the home screen is to toggle off the GPS phone switch. And there is the old 'go to start' button!
I have tried the usual uninstall reinstall things.
The other thing that may be a clue is that after completing the log in screens of email, password and various accepting buttons, the app gives a page that looks like it may be code rather than a user facing screen saying something like ['STATUS'=OK].
In other respects the watch seems to be linked after a fashion as I can test the control notification on the phone and the watch beeps and buzzes.
Any help gratefully received as I am at my wits end with it!
