This is an update from my previous entry dated Sept 8th 2020. GPS stops working completely after about 6 minutes. I have now found a way of resuming operation although it is a bit tedious. I am hoping that someone will come up with a more satisfactory solution...
After about 6 minutes from the start the GPS status bar turns red and stays red (no lack of GPS signal though and GPS accuracy is generally good, typ 4m accuracy). To resume I need to go into the phone's "settings". The "location services" are lit to show (apparently) enabled. I then need to touch the icon once to turn off location services and then once again to turn back on. If I then go back to MapRunF all is normal and the status bar is green. It will stay like this for about six minutes and then I need to do this process again (and again and again.....). Any ideas please.
