Issues with Console submenus and popups

ericconcannon
When I open the console menu and other popups in both Chrome and Firefox, I can not figure out how to scroll up or down within the menu or popup. This means I can't get to many feature/links or finish reading help info. Is there some special trick or keystroke?

Thank you in advance.

Can you try dragging the page like you would on your phone … click-hold-drag?

Peter, Taking that action over the submenu causes only the main webpage in the background to scroll up/down and had no affect on the submenu.

I guess it's worth noting the specific menus where this problem has been troublesome:

- the navigation menu on the left side of the admin console, in particular when it gets longer after logging in
- the "How to Use" popup on the Create KML Course page
- the Delete Event page (can't see or access anything below the "Delete RouteGadget Event" button)

Thanks, Eric

I just did a test by shrinking the window of my Browser

Do you have a mouse scroll wheel?

I use two-finger scroll on my Mac.

I can scroll the menu in two parts (above and below the line).

Thanks for those ideas, Peter. Zooming out on the page(s) does make the scrolling problem disappear, but things get mighty small. I don't usually use a mouse because I'm on a laptop and move around a lot...but, I found one in the house and tested it: yes, it works exactly as you described.

So, I now know of two workarounds. Thank you, again.

Good to hear.

I don’t use a mouse either, but normally there is a gesture you use on the touchpad of your laptop that simulates a mouse-wheel/scrolling input. For me it is a two-finger drag.

Dig some digging and it ends up that this laptop PC does not have a "precision" touchpad and is unable to process multi-finger gestures. At least we found a couple other options that work.
