I maintain a Gruffalo Orienteering course for my local forest. Families buy an A4 paper map in the cafe, 12 control sites are marked, there's a post with a Gruffalo sign at each one, and they walk (or run) round and find them all. Proceeds go to the upkeep of the forest.
I'd really like to use the MapRun6 QR feature to add QR codes at each control, allowing us add an element of timing and competition to the course. But, none of our customers will have MapRun6, and I don't think many will have the patience to follow text instructions to search the App Stores.
I'd like to provide a QR code printed on the map which, when scanned, downloads the app. There seem to be a number of sites that do this e.g. onelink.to, qrstuff.com. But, if I set this up myself, I risk having my QR code go out of date if any of the MapRun download locations change.
Is there, or are there any plans for, a generic download QR code?
Thank you!
