Update to MapRun v7.4.0 for Event Documents/Information

Summary:

Users should update to MapRun v7.4.0 or later if they are wanting to access Event Documents/Info using the green info button (typically used for a pdf printable version of the map).

Details:
 
MapRun uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud storage for a range of functions. One such use is the storage of Event Documents/Information (commonly used for a printable version of the map in PDF format).

AWS have advised that the AccessKey used in the MapRun App may have been included in a security breach and so they require that the AccessKey be changed. (This is scheduled for 7 May 2024).

The implications of this are that Event Documents/Information for an event:
o   can be accessed via the MapRun Console at https://console.maprun.net/#/event_info_overview - This is unchanged and will continue to function. (and any links from your club website will still work, if the organiser has used that option).
o   but access the information using the green info button in the MapRun App will give an error.









o   MapRun v7.4.0 has been released and users will need to update to this version for the green info button to work.
o   MapRun6 is no longer available in the App Stores and will no longer work for this function. Users wanting the green info button to work will need to upgrade to MapRun v7.4.0 or later

Mainstream operation of the MapRun App otherwise remains unchanged.
