Upload Failure

Re: FnB BMRT Short Upper Cressbrook Peter Stone PZ PXAC

I have had one competitor, Guy Lingford, whose result failed to upload. I advised him to try a Manual Upload which he did and he received the message Upload Successful. However, his result did not appear on the leaderboard.

I refreshed the results – no change.
I tried Result Validations and the message below appeared, indicating that the system recognised Guy, but still no result.

Guy sent me his .gpx file and this uploaded okay but gave the message S1 is not first. This uploaded to the leaderboard as:

When uploading his .gpx F1 was before S1.
Is the fact that the start and finish are in the same location causing this issue?

Thanks

Paul,

This looks like a sequence of distinct issues:

- In Guys' original AutoUpload or Manual Upload, for some reason there is only his track file (GPX) and no result file (CSV). This is unusual, as normally it's the larger file that fails to upload (ie the GPX file). I would think that another Manual Upload whilst on a good network connection should fix this. (Unless there is some more deep-seated issue).

- If you upload a track with GPS Track Upload, it's important to untick any surplus control punches... in particular any extraneous ones before and after the S1 and F1. If an S1 shows up in the results table, this normally indicates extras... You could delete this result and do the process again.

- Results validation may be failing because of the point above ... or complications handing a GPS track upload.
