Website having issues?

dfloat
I was at an event last night.  Tried to upload my run from my watch and the website seemed to be having difficulties finding the list of events.  Admin doesn't log in either.  Results page on the main website seems to be down.

Just letting you know really in case you weren't aware.

For anyone reading this thread:

MapRun results and Admin console websites are hosted by Google Cloud's highly resilient web-hosting service.
The backend database of events and results is hosted on Amazon Web Services.

Nothing is every 100%, but the first things to check if you are having access issues are:
- using your phone connected to the mobile network (NOT your wifi), can you still "Select Events" and check "All Results" in the MapRun App?
- If this fails - let us know ASAP.
- Otherwise, check your wifi
- The backend uses network ports 8888,8887 and 8886 which are sometimes blocked by firewalls.
- If you have problems, it's helpful to know if it's the web frontend or the server backend that you are having problems with:
    - does the top bar of the webpage display for results: https://results.maprun.net (if so, access to the front end is available)
    - do you get an error saying the server cant' be reached. This is where blocking of ports can be an issue.
- In reporting access issues please email support@maprun.net with screen shots that help refine the issue.

In summary, if you can't access results or the console from your PC/Mac, try your phone directly on the mobile network. If you still have problems please send screen shots to support@maprun.net.
