Why do I get a score 0 after completing a ScoreP event on CheckSites

somckeever
I'm trying to learn how to create a score event where the point value of each control is the default of a ScoreP event, i.e. controls 12 & 18 are 10 points each, controls 23 & 27 are 20 points each, etc.  Yet when I complete my trial course that I have uploaded to the CheckSite server, MapRun shows my results to be: "Time:  12:45  Result: OK  Controls: 13  Score: 0 (Gross)  0 (Net)".  14 controls were available for a total score of 360.  But in my trial run I purposefully missed one so my score should have been 350.  I'm hoping someone can tell this neophyte what I may have done wrong.  The name of the event was "RogPrkScoreO PXAS ScoreP060", and the ScoreP parameters were "N,0,1.0,10,1.0,0,0,MRU,30.0,5.0"

Steve,

The issue is that the settings being used by MapRun say this is a "NoScore" event.

The way to check how your event is being interpreted by MapRun is to open your CheckSites event on your phone and then go into "Options and Settings". Scroll down to the "Event" section and you will see all the individual settings that have been deduced from your EventName + Settings.

Because this is a CheckSites event, all the settings are unlocked. So you can simply change "NoScore" to "ScoreP" and then test again.

Let us know if have further problems.

thanks for the quick response, Peter.  But I double checked the settings on my phone after loading the event and found these under "Event":  Event Type: "Score"; Score Type" "ScoreP"; ScoreP scoring paratmeters: "N, 0, 1.0, 10, 1.0, 0, 0, MRU, 30.0, 0, 5.0".  And I am unable to change the parameters as there is a padlock shown and nothing happens when I tap the down arrow. (Is the padlock because I am not an administrator?)  And I tried the trial course again with these settings, and got the same result as in my original post: Controls visited 13, but Score 0.  I am using MapRun v. 7.12.4 en patch 1 on an iPhone 16 Pro running iOS 26.5

I have completed and submitted the application (yesterday) to be approved as an administrator, but have not gotten any notification of approval. Or disapproval.  I am the president of the Arctic Orienteering Club here in Anchorage, Alaska.  I am hoping to gain administrator status so that I can set up a "permanent" MapRun course in one of our local venues for visitors to use when they are in town in 10 days for our Alaska Orienteering Festival.  Is there someone I can email to expedite my approval as an administrator?

Thanks, Steve

Steve,

This seems to be coming down to a specific CheckSites event, and now that you have linked me to your Admin request, I have your email address.

Let's continue the discussion via support@maprun.net so we don't need to be disclosing details here of your CheckSites event.

Peter
