checksites - difficutlies importing files

I have been able to create an event and KMZ  file within MapRun7.  When going to checksite however, it asks me to import a KMZ and (optionally) a KML.   There seems to be no option to export these files from Maprun7 however, other than to email them, which doesn't seem to work on my device (iphone 14), and I have not been able to access mapRun on any other devices as yet.  .  It also seems a little strange to export them from maprun, then re-import them when they have been saved to the server.  The intructions seem to allude that these files should/could ?  be created in other software e.g. OCAD, but then spending time creating KML files in Maprun seems like a waste of time.  As you can tell I cant quite get this all to add up ...and i've been stuck at this stage for 4 weeks.  Can anyone help put me out of my misery?!

When you upload course / map files at: https://console.maprun.net/#/check_sites_create you will get a 6-digit code.

In the MapRun App on your phone you can then > Home Screen > Menu on top right > CheckSites > enter the 6-digit number for your event.
